Auditory Comfort Explorer

SoundMind's Frequency Explorer helps you explore audible tones, modulated patterns, breathing rhythms, and brief device haptics that may feel comfortable, neutral, pleasant, irritating, or uncomfortable to you.

SoundMind separates audible tones, modulated patterns, breathing rhythms, and device vibration perception. These tools are for subjective comfort and listening preference exploration. They are not medical measurements, diagnosis, treatment, or proof of a fixed biological frequency.
Use a low or moderate volume. Stop immediately if you experience discomfort, ringing, headache, dizziness, irritation, fatigue, pressure, or anxiety. Do not use while driving or when full attention is required.
The audible tone controls use focused comfort bands from 20 Hz to 4000 Hz. They do not represent the full range of human hearing and do not measure biological rhythms.
Your response to sound can change based on volume, device, environment, mood, fatigue, and listening context.
SoundMind distinguishes between audible tones, modulation rates, breathing rhythms, device haptics, and physical body vibration. These controls do not detect a biological frequency.
Future SoundMind modules may expand these tools only with clear consent, safety context, and without medical claims.

Audible Comfort Explorer

Explore direct audible tones by band. Start low, keep volume modest, use short tests, and stop if a tone feels uncomfortable.

Safety reminders

  • - Use a low or moderate volume.
  • - Stop immediately if you experience discomfort, ringing, headache, dizziness, irritation, fatigue, pressure, or anxiety.
  • - Do not use while driving or when full attention is required.
  • - Results may vary depending on day, device, volume, environment, mood, fatigue, and listening context.

Modulated Pattern Explorer

Explore gentle amplitude modulation on a quiet carrier tone. These are modulation or pattern rates, not direct audible tone frequencies and not guaranteed brain-state effects.

These ranges are not direct audible tones and do not guarantee brain states. They are modulation speeds applied to an audible carrier tone. Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma labels are used as educational references to ranges commonly discussed in brain rhythm literature, but SoundMind does not measure or induce brainwaves.

How to use it: choose a pattern rate, choose a carrier tone, play for a few seconds at low volume, and notice whether the pattern feels comfortable, neutral, irritating, calming, distracting, or tiring. Stop if you feel discomfort, pressure, anxiety, ringing, or fatigue.

SoundMind uses voluntary subjective feedback to improve future wellness audio experiences and user control. It does not promise medical, neurological, or therapeutic outcomes.

Carrier tone: 220 Hz

Pattern zones

Delta-like pattern, 1-4 Hz

Very slow modulation pattern. Used here only as a slow rhythm reference for subjective perception.

Theta-like pattern, 4-8 Hz

Slow-soft modulation pattern. Explore whether it feels calm, repetitive, neutral, or distracting.

Alpha-like pattern, 8-12 Hz

Moderately slow modulation pattern. Educational reference only, not a promise of calm, focus, or neurological effect.

Beta-like pattern, 13-30 Hz

Faster modulation pattern. It may feel more active or stimulating; lower volume or stop if it feels tiring.

Gamma-like pattern, 30-40 Hz

Fast modulation pattern. It may feel intense or rough for some users; use low volume and short tests.

Breathing Rhythm Explorer

Use a gentle visual pulse to explore breathing rhythm guidance for perceived comfort and ease. This is not treatment.

Breaths per minute: 6

The range covers about 3 to 12 breaths per minute. Follow only if it feels natural and comfortable.

How to use this breathing rhythm guide

Count complete breaths, not heartbeats. One complete breath means inhale + exhale.

If you want a resting reference, sit calmly and count your complete breaths for 60 seconds. Example: 12 complete inhale/exhale cycles in one minute = 12 breaths per minute.

The rhythm guide is different from your current breathing rate. For example, 0.10 Hz equals about 6 breaths per minute. This is a guided rhythm to explore comfort and ease, not a measurement of your body.

Do not force your breathing. If a rhythm feels uncomfortable, too slow, too fast, or creates pressure, dizziness, anxiety, or discomfort, stop or choose a more natural rhythm.

Count complete breaths for 60 seconds while resting. This is optional and used only as context for your exploration.

Not evaluated

Adult resting reference: below 12 may be below a typical resting range, 12–20 is commonly listed as a typical adult resting range, and above 20 may be above a typical resting range. This is educational context only, not a diagnosis.

If you have shortness of breath, chest pain, severe dizziness, or medical concern, seek professional medical help.

SoundMind uses this information only as subjective context to understand which guided rhythms feel comfortable, natural, forced, calming, or distracting.

Device Vibration Perception

Optional Device Vibration Perception Check

This experimental check helps you explore how brief device vibration patterns feel to you. It is about device vibration perception, not therapy, diagnosis, treatment, body vibration therapy, or biological frequency measurement.

This is a short device haptic feedback check, not therapy, treatment, diagnosis, or physical vibration therapy. Stop immediately if it feels uncomfortable.

Do not use haptic tests while driving, operating equipment, or when full attention is required.

Haptic feedback is not available on this device or browser.

Optional local feedback

Physical vibration education

Device haptics are not the same as whole-body vibration. Whole-body vibration depends on hardware, intensity, duration, posture, body area, and safety limits. SoundMind does not currently provide whole-body vibration therapy.
